About us...
I’ve always had a passion for food and from an early age have loved cooking and baking for others. My influences come from the Philippines, America and the UK and this is reflected in the range of delicious nibbles I have to offer.
My friends and family kept trying to persuade me to go into business for myself, but it was only after making one of my best friend’s wedding cakes I started considering it. My friend gave me free range on the design of the cake, but she chose the flavours. I created a design that was unique to her and her husband that embodied their personalities. Everybody loved the cake and I received really positive feedback. This inspired me to take my passion further and after a little promotion through word of mouth I received a few more requests. I was commissioned to bake everything from wedding cakes to tray bakes, cupcakes and a few savoury delights. Initially, cupcakes were a big hit, but I wanted to do more than just sweet things and with my culinary influences I created a range inspired by the foods I’ve grown up with. From America there are classic brownies, whoopie pies or mac ‘n’ cheese balls. From the Philippines I have the traditional Filipino cake flavours of Ube and Pandan, or a savoury bite such as a Shanghai Lumpia (or meat spring roll), while the UK influences include the classic Victoria sponge or fruit cake. With this variety in mind I created Delectanibble, offering delectable nibbles for any occasion. |
